Science Museum online game wins major web award at SXSW

An online game produced by the Science Musuem in the UK called Launchball has woth both Best Game and the overall Best in Show awards at the 2008 SXSW Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas.

This is an incredible achievement for a cultural organisation as SXSW is one of the most influential and well attended conferences in the world for the cuttng edge of online developments – it is also a confernce that is normally dominated by the more commerical end of web developments that sit within the innnovations within the creative industries. This is not the normal domain of musuems.
